8/25 Halftime performance at PCHS UPDATE
Since there is a 60-80% chance of thunderstorms for the Port Charlote game we have officially gone to “Plan B” for tomorrow night. This means that we will NOT wear uniforms. We will wear our show shirts and school-appropriate shorts/jeans and athletic shoes (no flip flops or sandals) We will NOT need to bring front ensemble equipment. We WILL need drum major podiums and all stadium hardware for percussion. Front ensemble will need cymbals.
We will sit in the stands and play stands music as well as play our opener during halftime after the Port Charlotte band performs their halftime show.
We WILL have practice this afternoon (Thursday) 3:30-5:30pm as normal.
Here is the UPDATED schedule for TOMORROW (Friday)
Friday, August 25th
2:30pm-3:30pm- Rehearsal in the bandroom. We will go over last minute instructions and rehearse our music for the evening.
3:30pm-5:15pm- Dinner break.
5:15pm- Call time. PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN TIME FROM THE PREVIOUS SCHEDULE. Everyone should arrive dressed in their show shirts and appropriate shorts/jeans and shoes. We will meet in the bandroom full ensemble then dismiss to inspection before we leave for the game.
6:00pm- Load buses
6:15pm- Depart NPHS for PCHS
11:00pm- Approximate arrival at NPHS
11:30pm- Approximate time of dismissal after everything has been put away. We need everyone to stay until dismissal- we all work together to make sure everything is put away and the room is cleaned up.
